Międzyzdroje East is a Baltic Sea bathing beach located 600 metres east of the pier in Międzyzdroje. The bathing area extends along 600 metres of coastline. The beach is managed by Gmina Międzyzdroje and monitored by PSSE in Kamień Pomorski. Water quality classifications range from excellent to adequate across recent years, with cyanobacteria blooms identified in 2018 and 2025.

Water Quality

Bathing water quality monitored regularly from May to September. Maximum allowable concentrations: Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml, enterococci 400 CFU/100 ml. Classification in 2025: excellent. Historical classifications: 2024 excellent, 2023 excellent, 2022 excellent, 2021 good, 2020 adequate, 2019 adequate, 2018 adequate, 2017 adequate, 2016 excellent. Water unsuitable for bathing recorded on 31 May 2021 due to elevated E. coli, 25 July 2018 due to cyanobacteria bloom, 8 September 2025 (reason not specified).

Risks

Cyanobacteria blooms recorded on 25 July 2018 and 9 August 2025. Elevated E. coli levels detected on 31 May 2021 (2675 CFU/100 ml) and 8 September 2025 (1668 CFU/100 ml).
