Stara Plaża is a designated bathing beach on Lake Sarcze in a forested area near the road from Trzcianka to Wałcz. The swimming zone is marked by a pontoon and buoys. A sandy beach is available adjacent to the bathing area. The site has been officially operated as a bathing beach since 2018.

Location

Trzcianka, 27 Stycznia street, Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki County. Located on the exit road from Trzcianka towards Wałcz.

Facilities

Lifeguards (WOPR), pontoon/pier, designated swimming zone, sandy beach, playground for children, open-air gym, outdoor picnic areas with grills/fire areas, fitness and squash centre, wooden shelter with tables and benches, freshwater fish park, changing rooms, benches, waste bins, portable toilets, information board. Pets prohibited.

Season

1 July 2025 – 31 August 2025. Operating hours: 10:00 – 18:00.

Water Quality

Water classification: Good (2025). Monitoring threshold for Escherichia coli: 1000 CFU/100 ml. Monitoring threshold for Enterococci: 400 CFU/100 ml. In 2025, water rated suitable for bathing on 26 June, 10 July, 31 July, and 14 August. In 2024, water rated unsuitable on 2 August and 26 July due to cyanobacteria bloom. In 2022, water rated unsuitable on 24 June due to high E. coli (34,659 CFU/100 ml) and on 22 August and 16 August due to cyanobacteria bloom.

Risks

Cyanobacteria blooms occurred in August 2024, August 2022, and August 2022. High E. coli contamination detected in June 2022.
