Kerdreolet is a bathing beach in the commune of L'Hôpital-Camfrout, located in the Rade de Brest area of France. The beach features a rocky platform (schist rock shelf) that becomes exposed at low tide, followed by a coastal mudflat that is usually submerged. The surrounding landscape is characterized by gently sloping terrain descending from the interior toward the rade, with elevation below 10 metres at the beach.

Water

The bathing water is part of the Rade de Brest, a tidal estuary. The beach has an exposed rocky platform (schist platier) at low tide followed by a coastal mudflat (slikke). The area is within the Camfrout river watershed.

Kerdreolet beach is located in L'Hôpital-Camfrout, a commune in the Rade de Brest area. The beach is at the mouth of the Camfrout river, with the Troaon stream discharging nearby. The commune address is 7, Rue de la Mairie, 29460 L'Hôpital-Camfrout.

Water Quality

The 2013 water quality classification was rated as insufficient. The bathing profile was required to be updated by 31 December 2015 due to the insufficient rating. Water quality monitoring includes testing for bacterial content in water and shellfish, as well as assessment of macro-algae and phytoplankton proliferation potential.

Risks

Identified pollution sources include agricultural pollution, non-collective sanitation systems, and leisure activities such as boating and caravan camping. The area has potential risks from macro-algae and phytoplankton proliferation.
