Coastal bathing water in Brittany. The beach is subject to Atlantic Ocean conditions including tidal influences, wind and swell regimes, and coastal currents.

Location

Erdeven, Morbihan (56), France. The beach is one of three declared bathing sites in the commune of Erdeven, alongside Kerouriec and Kerhillio beaches.

Season

Monitoring is conducted from 15 June to 15 September annually, which generally corresponds to the bathing season for metropolitan France.

Water Quality

The bathing water is monitored under European Directive 2006/7/CE and previously under Directive 76/160/CEE. Monitoring includes microbiological parameters (total coliforms, Escherichia coli, and intestinal enterococci) and physicochemical parameters (mineral oils, surfactants, and phenols). The bathing water is classified as Type 1 profile, meaning pollution risk is not established.
