Kleßener See is a natural lake located approximately 16 km northeast of Rathenow in the Westhavelland Nature Park. The lake is 1.5 km long with an area of 52 hectares and a basin-shaped bed with mean depth of 2.5 m and maximum depth of 4.2 m. The catchment area is small at 4.4 km², comprising 47% agricultural land, 36% forest, and 7% settlements. Water exchange occurs approximately every four years.
