Facilities

Two diving boards, large water slide, children's paddling pool, showers, toilets, changing rooms, four sand volleyball courts, children's swings, refreshments and restaurant. Beach length: 80 metres. Beach characteristics: grassy with concrete and rocky shoreline.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Microbiological contamination: Excellent. Phosphorus content complies with long-term requirements for bathing areas. Overall monitoring assessment: Satisfactory condition. No point sources of pollution are present. Diffuse pollution from bathers is moderate.

Risks

Occasional weak algae blooms. Chlorophyll-a values elevated over past two years but consistently below limits. Water transparency long-term near limit with occasional exceedances below limit.
