Krossinsee is a natural lake located on the south-eastern border of Berlin in the Berlin-Fürstenwalder Spree Valley Lowland. It has a surface area of 163 hectares and a maximum depth of 5 metres, with an average depth of 2.9 metres. The lake is connected to Wernsdorfer See and receives inflow from Wernsdorfer Luch in the south-east. The southern shore is fully populated, with the former fishing village of Wernsdorf and the Ziegenhals residential area bordering the lake. The lake is a popular recreation area, especially for water sports enthusiasts, and is designated as a federal waterway.
