Zeuthener See is a lake-like extension of the River Dahme located on Berlin's south-eastern border, approximately 4 km long and between 100 and 800 m wide. The lake covers 233 hectares with an average depth of 2.5 m and maximum depth of 4.8 m. The western shore is developed with residential areas, boat docks, sailing clubs and yacht clubs, while the eastern shore remains largely undeveloped except for a campsite and private university. The bathing site Eichwalde is monitored quarterly for water quality.
