Krummer See is a lake located approximately 4 km south of Königs Wusterhausen on the western edge of the Dahme Lake District. The lake was formed during the last ice age from meltwater channels. It is nearly 2 km long, approximately 150 m wide on average, with a surface area of 27 hectares and a maximum depth of approximately 10 m. The lake exhibits stable temperature stratification in summer. Archaeological evidence indicates human settlement in the area dating back 9,000 years.
