Water Quality

Water quality monitoring conducted in accordance with Directive 2006/7/CE. Assessment includes bacteriological analysis and evaluation of potential pollution sources including domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, stormwater, watercourses, agricultural activities, and diffuse pollution.

Risks

Potential bacteriological contamination from multiple sources including collective sanitation systems, non-collective sanitation, stormwater discharge, coastal watercourses, agricultural zones, unauthorized anthropogenic discharge from campervans, inter-human contamination, domestic fauna, and wild fauna. Potential for macro-algae and phytoplankton proliferation was assessed.
