Goulet Beach and Clemenceau Beach are located in the municipality of Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard in the Vendée department. These are Type 1 vulnerability profile bathing waters situated on the Atlantic coast in the Pays-de-la-Loire region. The beaches are subject to monitoring for bacteriological water quality and potential pollution from various sources including collective and non-collective sewerage systems.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring conducted by ARS from 2005 to 2010 for bacteriological parameters. Classification follows European regulation standards. Historical quality data available for both Clemenceau and Goulet beaches with results tracked through monitoring networks REMI and REPHY.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified including collective sewerage networks with pumping stations, non-collective sewerage systems, stormwater discharge networks, shellfish harvesting areas in vicinity. Macro-algae proliferation potential assessed. Accidental pollution risk management procedures in place.
