Laascher See - Badestelle II is a naturally formed lake located in the centre of the Niedersächsische Elbtalaue Biosphere Reserve. The lake is impounded at its outlet by a small weir, with only the former speedboat harbour area being artificially created. Water supply comes from the Seege River, which flows through the lake and enters the Elbe at Meetschow, as well as from groundwater sources.
