Location

Doulcon, Meuse, France. The bathing area is at Lac Vert, 3 bis rue de la Gare, 55110 Doulcon.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring is conducted with analysis of microbiological and chemical parameters. The Andon watercourse quality was also studied in relation to the bathing water quality.

Risks

Potential pollution sources were identified including wastewater treatment (assainissement), agricultural activities, tourist activities, bird presence, industrial activities, and accidental pollution. Risk of algal blooms (cyanobacteria, macroalgae, phytoplankton) and swimmer's itch (dermatitis caused by duck parasites) were noted as hazards.
