Lago di Cavazzo - Lato Sud-est is a lake bathing area located on the southeastern shore of Lake Cavazzo. The beach features a gravelly shoreline and is situated in a natural setting with nearby infrastructure including camping facilities, motor boat moorings, restaurants, and residential areas. The bathing area extends approximately 3.6 kilometres along the shore.

Lake Cavazzo is a lake body located in the Tagliamento basin. The bathing area covers an extension of 3.589 square kilometres.

Location

The bathing area is located in Trasaghis, in the province of Udine, Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The area centre is at coordinates 46.331510°N, 13.076134°E.

Toilets, disabled access facilities, and bar/restaurant services are available.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as EXCELLENT based on data from 2015-2018. Escherichia coli measured 37 at the 90th percentile and 53 at the 95th percentile. Intestinal enterococci measured 23 at the 90th percentile and 39 at the 95th percentile. No variations in water quality were evident during the bathing seasons 2015-2018. No cyanobacterial eutrophic phenomena have been reported. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected.

Risks

Wastewater treatment plants, a hydroelectric power station affecting temperature and lake level, and tourism activities on the lake are identified as potential sources of impact on bathing water quality.
