Levante Foce Torrente Pora is a bathing area located at the mouth of the Torrente Pora river in Finale Ligure, Liguria. The beach is predominantly sandy and situated in a plains zone where the river meets the sea. The area features both public beach and private beach facilities with associated services and accommodation structures. Water quality has been classified as excellent based on 2008-2011 monitoring data. The Ligurian Sea does not experience cyanobacterial blooms due to its predominantly oligotrophic conditions.

Coastal water body at the mouth of the Torrente Pora river. Bathing area extent: 0.313 square kilometres. Water body identifier: Ceriale-Finale. Classified as mountainous terrain with low stability coastal waters.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). Identified pollution sources include two treatment plants (depuratore località cimitero and depuratore Caprazoppa), active outfall pipes, and the river mouth. No special monitoring measures are currently activated. A modelling approach for characterising short-term pollution events is under development.

Risks

Pollutants identified: treated wastewater discharge and river mouth contributions. Cyanobacterial bloom potential is absent due to oligotrophic conditions. No toxic algal proliferation cases recorded in the previous 4 years.
