Water quality classification: Excellent. The area is affected by discharge of untreated wastewater from the pumping station overflow and from private sources in the stream. Wastewater treatment infrastructure exists but treatment plants do not conform to EU Directive 91/271/CE standards.

Risks

Discharge of untreated wastewater from the pumping station and accidental overflows. Short-duration pollution events include urban stormwater discharge and untreated wastewater from private sources. No cyanobacteria proliferation risk identified. No macroalgae or phytoplankton blooms identified.
