Lido del Sole is a bathing beach located near Olbia in Sardegna with a sandy seafloor composed of medium-coarse light sand. The beach is also known as Gravile and has significant natural interest due to the presence of pink flamingos, herons, and various other flora and fauna species in the lagoon behind the beach.

Location

Near Olbia, Sardegna. Access via SS 125 towards Nuoro (coastal road), passing Rio Padrongianus, then turning left towards Lido del Sole, and right onto an unpaved road after passing a large lagoon.

Facilities

Toilets available. Disabled access not available. No lifeguard or first aid assistance. Refreshment services available. No sports facilities. Animals not permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent. The area is influenced by the Padrogiano River basin.

Risks

River mouths identified as a pollution source of lesser importance. Imhoff septic tanks present in the Lido del Sole village. Short-duration pollution events are under study for appropriate modelling approach.
