Salina is a coastal bathing water located 5 km south of Olbia in Sardinia. The beach is framed by Mediterranean scrubland, with small lagoons called Saline behind it connected to larger basins. The seabed is mixed composition. The bathing area extends over approximately 24.868 km.

Water quality classification: Excellent. River mouths (Fiume Padrogiano) identified as a less important pollution pressure under decree DM 131/2008.

Risks

River mouths (foci fluviali) identified as a potential pollution source. Short-duration pollution events are under study with an appropriate modelling approach currently being developed.
