Lido Fico d'India is a sandy-pebbly beach located in Crucoli, Calabria, along the Cirò-Cariati water body. The beach has a gentle seafloor slope of 1.4% from the shoreline to the 5-metre isobath, with sediment grain sizes ranging from 0.13 to 2 mm. The area is situated before agricultural territories between the town centre of Crucoli and the Torrente Carafuno di Cappellieri. The beach is classified as having excellent water quality.

Location

Crucoli, Province of Crotone, Calabria. The beach is located in the area between the town centre of Crucoli and the Torrente Carafuno di Cappellieri.

Showers and accessible pathways for disabled visitors. Animals are permitted on the beach.

Water quality classification: Excellent. The beach is located in a geomorphologically articulated coastal area with sandy-pebbly substrate.

Risks

Pollution source identified: runoff from the Fosso Melocampo I and II outlets from agricultural areas. No anomalous situations, cyanobacterial blooms, or macroalgal proliferation events have been verified in the last four years.
