Pineta di Selinunte is a flat sandy beach located within a natural reserve characterized by pine forest and sand dunes. The beach experiences significant visitor numbers during the summer season and is situated in a coastal marine water body. The beach width measures approximately 15 metres.

No infrastructure or services are present at the beach. Animals are not permitted, except for service animals in equipped areas not communicated by the authority.

Monitored during summer months with significant bather activity.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. The zone lacks a wastewater collection network. Potential pollution sources are identified as nearby but outside the bathing area, with notable population increase during summer months.

Risks

A temporary bathing prohibition was issued in May 2023. No cyanobacterial proliferation events were identified in the previous four years. No harmful algal, phytoplankton, or toxic species proliferation events were reported in the previous four years.
