Lido Segrino

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Lido Segrino is an equipped beach located on Lake Segrino in the Lombardy region. The beach is approximately 100 metres wide with grassy surroundings. The lake has an elongated north-south orientation, measuring about 1,800 metres in length with a maximum width of approximately 400 metres. The bathing area is bordered by steep slopes of the Pesora and Cornizzolo mountains to the east and the Scioscia mountain to the west.

Lake Segrino is an elongated lake running in a north-south direction with a length of approximately 1,800 metres and maximum width of about 400 metres towards the southern section. The lake is situated at an altitude of 374 metres above sea level and is part of the Lambro Olona river basin.

Location

The bathing area is located in Eupilio, Como Province, Lombardy. The beach is approximately 100 metres in extent. Parking and access information are available through the municipality of Eupilio.

Facilities

Equipped beach with bar, restaurant, canoe and kayak rental. Cycle and pedestrian path. Animals are permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent for the reference period 2019-2022. No bathing prohibitions are present. The qualitative trend is constant. No regulatory threshold exceedances have been recorded. No toxic effects on bathers or aquatic environments have been registered in the past four years.

Risks

Possible pollution concerns may arise from unfavourable meteorological conditions such as severe atmospheric events. No previous cyanobacteria or phytoplankton proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years.
