Water Quality

Classification is pending. Short-term pollution events have been identified, attributed to sewerage system failures and wastewater treatment plant discharges. Cyanobacterial proliferation potential has been assessed based on pressure from sewerage discharges and surface water bodies (Caffaro and Chiese rivers). No cyanobacterial events or macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation episodes have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

Sewerage system failures and wastewater treatment plant discharges are identified pollution sources. Fire-lighting is prohibited.
