Baitoni Beach is a medium-grain pebble beach located south of the Baitoni district on the shores of Lake Idro in Trentino Alto Adige. The beach is approximately 180 meters long and 40 meters wide, with width varying according to lake level. It typically hosts 100–120 swimmers per day during the peak season. The beach has been classified as excellent water quality from 2016 to 2019.

Lake Idro. The bathing area extends 0.4 square kilometres. The lake is part of the Chiese river basin.

Location

The beach is situated south of the Baitoni district in the municipality of Bondone, Trento province, Trentino Alto Adige region. The lake is located at an altitude of 368 meters above sea level.

Facilities

Lifeguard service and rescue station with emergency equipment. Public showers on beach. Pontoons. Camping. Restaurant. Hotel. Windsurfing school. Animals are not permitted.

Season

20 June to 10 September (period of reported visitor numbers).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2016–2019). No point-source pollution elements identified. No short-duration pollution events detected. No anomalous situations reported in the last four years. Wastewater from surrounding municipalities is treated at the Storo treatment plant, which discharges treated water into the Rio Lora, a tributary of Lake Idro.
