Mahlower See Mahlow Seebad

Germany Lake 1 - Excellent

Mahlower See is a lake situated approximately 1.5 km from Berlin's southwestern boundary on the Teltow Plateau. It is an artificial lake formed as a remnant from clay extraction operations that ceased in the 1920s due to water inflow. The lake was developed into a beach bathing area in 1923. The elongated oval water body measures approximately 190 m in length and 30–60 m in width, with a surface area of 1.29 hectares and a maximum depth of 4.5 m. The lake is fed exclusively by groundwater and is nutrient-rich.
