Maravilha is a rural beach located on the left bank of the River Tua. It features a gravel area and a cement platform for water access. The bathing water is monitored fortnightly during the official season.

Season

2025 bathing season: 1 July to 14 September. Fortnightly sampling frequency.

Water Quality

Classification follows Decreto-Lei 135/2009 as amended. No bathing advisories or prohibitions due to short-term pollution occurred during the 2024 bathing season.

Risks

Faecal contamination may occur from the tributary Regato da Coitada or from the compact sewage treatment plant (ETAR). Short-term pollution is unlikely but possible during heavy rainfall due to excessive tributary flow. Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are all unlikely.
