Mattsee is a natural freshwater lake with a maximum depth of 42 metres and a surface area of 3.6 square kilometres. It is the first in a chain of three lakes known as the Trumer Seen, formed after the retreat of the Mattsee Glacier. The bathing area at Lochen/Gebertsham offers swimming opportunities on this alpine lake located in the Salzburg region of Austria.
