Monte Clérigo is a coastal bathing water located on a non-urban beach with intensive use. The beach features golden sand with a rocky platform to the south, surrounded by impressive dunes and cliffs. A small temporary watercourse runs nearby. The beach extends 350 metres along the shore, with a tidal range of 3.4–3.5 metres and mean wave height of 1 metre. The site is situated within the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
