Water Quality

Water quality classified as elevated based on the 95th and 90th percentile parameters. The bathing water is located in the MIGNONE-ARRONE SUD hydrographic basin. Two urban wastewater treatment plants serving populations over 2000 people equivalent are active in the reference municipality. No specific active monitoring for pollutant concentrations and dispersion is currently in place during the bathing season. Mollusk farming is identified as an impact on bathing water.

Risks

The area is not subject to blooms of potentially toxic macroalgae or microalgae. A suitable modelling approach for short-duration pollution events is still under study.
