Slanica is a partially cultivated beach in Murter, located in the Kornati area of Croatia. The beach features a sandy surface with rocky sections and is lined with trees. It stretches 600 metres in length with a width of 15 metres, situated on an indented coastline with mild slopes both above and below the waterline. The beach is part of a hotel resort area with high bather density during the season.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 22.81°C. Salinity ranges from 32.5 to 39.9 during the season. Tide amplitude is 29.1 cm. Prevailing wind direction is north.

Monitoring conducted year-round with annual assessments and rolling four-year assessment periods.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored annually under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC. Annual sampling has been conducted consistently with 10 samples per year from 2009 to 2025. Four-year assessment periods have been evaluated with 40 samples per period. Quality classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor categories.
