Naturbad Kaimberg

Germany Lake 1 - Excellent

Naturbad Kaimberg is an artificially created bathing pond located approximately 8 kilometres from the city centre of Gera. The water surface is continuously renewed via a deep well, and annually the water is drained and the gravel bed is cleaned and renewed. The bathing area features separate zones for non-swimmers and swimmers, a children's paddling pool, and a meadow for sunbathing.

Water

Artificially created bathing pond, partially paved. Water surface area 0.00625 km². Maximum water depth 2.5–3 metres. Elevation 255 metres above sea level. Water renewal occurs annually through groundwater inflow from a deep well. Ecological status class very good (ÖKZ 1), oligotrophic. Uferbereich composition includes gravel and sand.

Location

Located approximately 8 kilometres from Gera city centre. Accessible by car, bicycle, or bus via an adjacent access road. Parking available.
