Horumersiel is a grass beach located directly at the village in Wangerland, a holiday municipality in the northern part of Friesland district. The beach is separated from the North Sea only by a beach promenade that extends to the sandy beach at Schillig. Wangerland covers approximately 176 square kilometers and features a 27-kilometer coastline, mostly adjacent to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. The beach offers numerous entertainment options during the bathing season.
