Oberer Hausherzberger Teich is a popular leisure pond and natural bathing area located at the edge of Clausthal's urban area. It features a designated non-swimmer zone, meadow for sunbathing, playground, and boat rental. A holiday village called Am Waldseebad is situated directly adjacent to the water and forest on the opposite side.
