Okuklje is a small town beach located on the island of Mljet in Croatia. The beach features a partially cultivated layout with a concrete structure surface and rocky areas, backed by trees. It spans 175 metres in length with an average width of 5 metres and experiences low bather density during the season. The beach is situated on an indented coastline with a concrete coastal structure.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 23.43°C. Salinity ranges from 32.2 to 39 during the season. Tide amplitude is 22.4 cm. The underwater coastal slope is moderate, ranging from 15 to 25 degrees.

Location

Mljet, Mljet, Croatia. The beach is accessible via pedestrian path. Free parking is available.

Facilities

Restaurant available. Mooring facilities located nearby but outside the beach. No sea side protection infrastructure.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with sampling occurring throughout the calendar year.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with 10 samples per year (except 2009 with 9 samples). Four-year rolling assessments conducted under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ consistently show excellent water quality classification.
