Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2025 is sufficient. The bathing water has frequently been unsuitable for bathing due to cyanobacterial blooms (blue-green algae). Maximum permissible concentrations are Escherichia coli: 1000 CFU/100 ml and Enterococci: 400 CFU/100 ml. The most recent assessment on 28/08/2025 showed unsuitable water quality due to cyanobacterial bloom. Historical data from 2023–2025 shows a pattern of alternating suitable and unsuitable conditions, with cyanobacterial blooms being the primary cause of unsuitability.

Risks

Cyanobacterial blooms (blue-green algae) are a recurring pollution source. A red flag was displayed on 31/08/2025 due to cyanobacterial bloom. This bloom is the primary identified risk affecting water suitability for bathing.
