Älvsbackabadet is located on the northern shore of Lake Östra Örten. It features a sandy beach approximately 2 metres wide and 150 metres long with a gently sloping sandy bottom. The area is situated in a scenic natural setting near Älvsbacka Church.

Location

14 kilometres north of Molkom at Älvsbacka in the municipality of Karlstad. The bathing site is located at the northern part of Lake Östra Örten.

Facilities

Pier, changing huts, dry toilet, waste bins.

Season

21 June 2026 to 15 August 2026.

Water Quality

Water quality classifications: 2025 Excellent, 2024 Excellent, 2023 Excellent, 2022 Excellent. The bathing water is registered as an EU bathing water under Directive 2006/7/EG by Karlstad Municipality. It has received an excellent rating for the past four years according to Directive 2006/77/EG.
