The beach is composed of sand and grass, with natural vegetation including shrubs, trees, and reeds along the shoreline.

Water

Pabradės tvenkinys is a reservoir (Type 1 water body) in the Žeimenos river sub-basin. Average annual discharge in the basin is 23.5 m³/s, with the highest discharge in April and lowest in July. Average annual precipitation in the basin is 767 mm, with highest precipitation in August and lowest in May. The water body has good ecological status and meets good ecological status requirements.

Location

Pabradės seniūnija, Švenčioniai district, Lithuania. Coordinates: 54.99003 (X), 25.7545 (Y). The bathing area is located in a town territory with a nearby medical equipment manufacturing facility (UAB Intersurgical). Parking and a car park are available at the site.

Facilities

Outdoor toilet, changing cabins, volleyball court, benches, car park. Maximum capacity approximately 100 visitors during peak season under optimal weather conditions. Pets are prohibited on the beach.

Water Quality

The bathing water has not been classified as of 2023 and 2024 (new site, not yet evaluated). Microbiological water sample analysis confirms compliance with Lithuanian hygiene standard HN 92:2007 for beach and bathing water quality. The water body is not subject to point source pollution risks from the nearby manufacturing facility. No systematic pollution sources identified.

Risks

Temporary water pollution possible from surface rainwater runoff, which typically subsides within 1-2 days. Potential temporary contamination from irresponsible human behavior. Eutrophication influence on water quality noted as either from natural causes or human activity. Visual monitoring of cyanobacteria conducted; no investigations carried out on cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or marine phytoplankton proliferation trends.
