Parc Plage Ile

France River 2 - Good

Île-Plage is a bathing site on the Cher river in Saint-Aignan, Loir-et-Cher department. The site is located less than 600 metres from the town centre on the left bank of the discharge branch of the Cher. The municipality of Saint-Aignan is developing this bathing area for public use. The site was subject to a comprehensive bathing water profile study conducted in March 2023 to evaluate pollution risks and implement management measures.

Water

Location

Saint-Aignan, Loir-et-Cher department, approximately 30 kilometres south of Blois. Access via departmental road D675 which crosses the Cher river. Parking available near the bathing site.

Water Quality

Water quality was assessed for bacterial content, cyanobacteria, transparency, and other pollutants. The bathing profile study evaluated historical water quality data and identified potential pollution sources. Specific quality classifications and monitoring results are detailed in sections 2.5 of the profile.

Risks

Potential pollution sources were identified and hierarchically assessed in the diagnostic phase. Cyanobacteria and bacterial contamination were monitored. Management procedures were established for both anticipated and non-anticipated contamination events.
