Water quality classification in 2024 complies with Decreto-Lei 135/09. No short-term pollution episodes occurred during the bathing season. Zero days of bathing prohibition or advisory warnings due to short-term pollution in the 2024 bathing season.

Risks

Potential microbiological pollution sources include solid waste from beach activities, marine litter, bird colonies, and high number of users. Phytoplankton has a likely potential for proliferation. Cyanobacteria and macroalgae have unlikely potential for proliferation.
