Piburger See is a lake in Austria covering 13.67 hectares with a maximum depth of approximately 25 meters. The lake is fed primarily by underground sources, with the Piburger Bach as its only visible surface inflow. In 1970, a deep-water extraction system was installed at Piburger See to improve water quality due to increasing nutrient loading, marking the first use of this technology in Austria.
