Pineta Grande is a sandy beach in Castel Volturno, Caserta province, Campania region. The beach is characterized by the presence of a submerged artificial breakwater parallel to the coast. The shoreline has sparse urbanization along the beach that intensifies inland. The bathing water is weakly influenced by the Regi Lagni channel.

Risks

The bathing water is weakly influenced by the Regi Lagni channel, which receives treated wastewater from three regional treatment plants (Marcianise, Orta di Atella, Villa Literno) and untreated urban sewage from several municipalities via multiple tributaries.
