Plage des Oursinières is a bathing beach located in Le Pradet in the Var department of Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. The beach has an average daily attendance of 300 visitors during the bathing season. Bacteriological quality has been classified as Excellent for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Location

Le Pradet, Var department, Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. The bathing area is known as Plage des Oursinières.

Season

Official surveillance period: 25, 26, and 29 May, then 1 June to 1 September 2024.

Water Quality

Bacteriological classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Monitoring parameters include enterococci levels <370 bacteria/100 ml and E. coli levels <250 bacteria/100 ml. One pollution incident was recorded on 16 July 2023 related to a malfunction of the EU sewage network lift station at Oursinières, resulting in beach closure.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include stormwater outflows and drainage from the pleasure port (SNPO). A sewage system incident occurred on 16 July 2023.
