Water Quality

Water quality monitoring conducted from 2006 to 2010. Sampling campaigns performed by Veolia Eau in October 2010 and by the port authority between May and September 2010. Analysis includes bacterial indicators and potential for cyanobacteria, macro-algae, and phytoplankton proliferation.

Risks

Multiple pollution sources identified including stormwater outlets at Baie des Isles, the Pinède du Bastidon stream, and Gargatte canal; agricultural operators; campings; activity zones; properties with non-collective sanitation systems; sewage pumping stations; sensitive zones in the wastewater network; Miramar Port; wastewater network overflow; the Maravenne stream; mooring zone near Pinède du Bastidon; and the wastewater treatment plant discharge.
