Maritime bathing zone. Length 233 metres. Located in the Muros water mass within the Galicia Costa hydrographic demarcation and Ría de Muros e Noia river basin. Water mass status: good.

Porto do Son, Coruña province, Galicia, Spain. UTM coordinates: 500081 X, 4730694 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations were monitored from 2008 to 2010. No historical contamination precedents identified. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 08/01 (Ría de Muros-Noia) classified as Zone B with no contamination precedents.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation: not significant. Localized discharge risk: not identified.
