Location

Located on Illa de Ons in the municipality of Bueu, province of Pontevedra, Galicia. The reference locality is Portonovo. Coordinates: UTM 505670 X, 4691590 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. E-coli concentrations were monitored between 2008 and 2010, with levels generally below 100 ufc/100ml. Enterococcus concentrations were similarly low during the same monitoring period. The water body maintains good ecological status.
