Location

Located on Illa de Ons in the municipality of Bueu, province of Pontevedra, Galicia. The reference locality is Portonovo. Coordinates: UTM 505670 X, 4691590 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. E-coli concentrations were monitored between 2008 and 2010, with levels generally below 100 ufc/100ml. Enterococcus concentrations were similarly low during the same monitoring period. The water body maintains good ecological status.

Risks

No contamination history identified. No risk of contamination from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No localized discharge risks identified.
