Maritime bathing zone. Length 787 metres, width 20 metres. Part of the Costa da Morte water body. Located within the Galicia-Costa hydrographic demarcation and Costa da Coruña entre Cedeira e Ferrol river basin.

Water Quality

Water quality classification varies between the two sampling points: one point classified as Excellent, the other as Good. E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations were monitored from 2008 to 2010. The overall water body status is classified as Good.

Risks

Strong waves and windy conditions are present at the beach. Short-duration contamination risk identified from occasional discharges associated with heavy precipitation events (yellow alert for precipitation intensity). Risk of contamination from localised discharges not identified.
