Water Quality

Annual classification: Excellent (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019). Water body status in 2017 was Good. One exceptional contamination episode exceeding 72 hours was recorded in 2019. No short-duration pollution episodes were recorded in 2016, 2017, 2018, or 2019. Possible pollution sources include wastewater treatment plant (EDAR) effluent 2 km away, wastewater pumping station (EBAR) 600 m away, septic tanks, vessel discharges, and stormwater runoff.

Risks

Occasional jellyfish presence. No history of phytoplankton or diatom proliferation.
