Cala en Forcat is a bathing beach in Ciutadella de Menorca in the Balearic Islands. The beach has a length of 10 metres and a width of 48 metres. It is located in a residential area with a promenade nearby. The water body is classified as being in very good condition as of 2017.

Water Quality

Water quality classification in 2017 was very good. The water body achieved an excellent annual rating in 2017 and good annual ratings in 2018 and 2019. Short-duration pollution episodes (less than 72 hours) occurred 2 times in 2016, 1 time in 2017, 1 time in 2018, and 3 times in 2019. One exceptional circumstance pollution episode exceeding 72 hours occurred in 2017.

Risks

Two stormwater overflow points (EBAR without relief valve) and pluvial discharges identified. Jellyfish proliferation occurs occasionally. No history of toxic phytoplankton or diatom proliferation.
