Water Quality

The water body mass (A Mariña Centro) has been classified as in bad ecological state. Microbiological monitoring shows E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations tracked from 2008 to 2010.

Risks

The shellfish production zone adjacent to the beach (GAL 01/01 Costa Lucense) has no historical contamination antecedents. Short-duration contamination risks from occasional discharges related to precipitation episodes are not significant. No localized discharge risks were identified.
