Playa Cubelas is a maritime bathing beach located in San Cibrao, Cervo municipality in the province of Lugo, Galicia. The beach is 184 metres long and 6.9 metres wide, composed of sand with moderate wave conditions and high visitor attendance. It is situated in an urbanised area within the Galicia Coast hydrographic region.

Water Quality

The bathing zone is classified as sufficient based on historical microbiological data from 2008–2010. E. coli and enterococcus concentrations were monitored and tracked within the sufficient classification range during this period. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 01/01 Costa Lucense) has no contamination history classified as Zone A.

Risks

Risk of contamination from occasional discharge associated with precipitation events, with yellow alert level due to precipitation intensity. No localised discharge risks identified.
