Playa Cocinitas is a coastal bathing beach located in Haría, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain. The beach is 45 meters long and 15 meters wide, with white sand and boulder substrate. It is exposed to moderate wave conditions with tidal ranges of 1-3 meters. The water body is characterized as a natural coastal surface water mass in the northern part of Lanzarote.

Natural coastal surface water mass (ES70LZTI1 - Norte de Lanzarote y La Graciosa). Bathymetry ranges from 0 to -8 meters. Substrate consists of white sand and boulders. Moderate wave exposure with a tidal range of 1-3 meters.

Haría, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain. Pedestrian access is available but is described as regular. No vehicle access or parking is available.

Pedestrian access available. No lifeguards, toilets, showers, disabled access, public water supply, foot baths, changing rooms, bars, bins, public telephones, megaphone system, umbrella rental, canopy rental, lounger rental, sanitary services, or doctor on-site.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is based on monitoring of faecal indicator bacteria (Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci) collected over four years according to Royal Decree 1341/2007. The water body is in good ecological status (biological and physico-chemical), with overall good or better condition. No previous contamination episodes are recorded.

Risks

Cyanobacteria (Trichodesmium) proliferation episodes occurred in 2004, 2010, and more intensively in 2017. No risk from jellyfish, sea urchins, or macroalgae.
